Bread crumbs are made by grating dried plain and extra wheat pastry. Bread crumbs are a key ingredient in many cuisines. They are used for crumbing meats, vegetables or cheeses, as well as to thicken dishes such as frikadeller. They are also sprinkled on baking trays so that the dough does not stick. For a more contemporary cuisine it is worth experimenting a little. Bread crumbs can be used to prepare courgette cutlets, or hot cheese balls served with additions.
It is worth knowing that bread crumbs retain all the nutrients of the pastry used to make them. However, bread crumbs quickly absorb water, so they should only be stored in dry places to prevent them from spoiling.
