This is made of ground and processed wheat grain, and takes the form of small white or creamy coloured grains. It contains many minerals necessary for the correct functioning the body. It is high in nutrients, which is why it is often used as the basis for good infant nutrition. It is quick and easy to prepare. It makes an effective gruel for those who suffer from digestive, liver, bile duct or kidney problems, as well as convalescents recovering from operations.

To prepare semolina, add the required amount to boiling milk or water, then cook for 3-5 minutes, stirring all the time until it thickens. Add some sugar to taste. Recommended proportions:

– liquid – 1 teaspoon of semolina per 100 ml of liquid
– thick – 2 teaspoons of semolina per 100 ml of liquid
